Astro Glitch Shifters are a modular live collective from Rijeka, Croatia — built for transformation, instability, and cosmic mutation. Rhythmic hypnosis meets psychedelic atmosphere meets total unpredictability.
Born from the ashes of FANAA (RiRock Award winners), Astro Glitch Shifters launched in April 2025 with a debut performance supporting Tito & Tarantula in Rijeka before an immediate Zagreb run that shut down Boogaloo and bled into Route 66 in the same week. The band is built around a permanent core — drummer Kristian Kirinčić and guitarist Andreas Kornjača — with a rotating collective of musicians who move in and out like transmissions from distant frequencies.
Their debut album Makrofonija (2026) — a raw energetic rock 'n' roll with fat riffs recorded in their own studio — was launched to packed shows and national press coverage in Novi List, torpedo.media and ArtKvart. But AGS were already ahead: two more albums sit in the vault, ready to detonate. The second, Gelato House Party, is a funk rock record with deep groove and roots in world music. The third, Glitch 11, is a full psychedelic dub rock odyssey. All of them are portals into completely different universes where genres have no boundaries.
This is not a rock band. It is not a jam band. It is not a psych act. It is all of these, simultaneously, at full volume, in a room where anything could happen. Live, Astro Glitch Shifters operate on a simple doctrine: the music leads. The musicians follow. The audience is somewhere between witness and participant.
